Fresh demolitions reported in southern Lebanon’s Zawtar al-Sharqiya
Two newsrooms report bulldozing in the Nabatieh district on Monday, after similar operations the previous day.
Israeli bulldozers carried out further demolitions in Zawtar al-Sharqiya in southern Lebanon on Monday, according to L’Orient Today’s southern correspondent and Lebanese state news agency reports reviewed by Libnanews.
Both accounts describe bulldozing in the Nabatieh district; L’Orient Today also reported fires in the village. The reports do not establish a number of homes destroyed.
Separately, both outlets reported Israeli fire or strikes in other parts of southern Lebanon. The reporting follows demolitions reported in Zawtar al-Sharqiya on Sunday. The accompanying image is a 2013 file photograph of Mleeta in the same district, not a photograph of Monday’s events.
