Le ministre français des Affaires étrangères Jean-Noël Barrot a rencontré à Beyrouth le président Joseph Aoun, le Premier ministre Nawaf Salam et le président du Parlement Nabih Berri sur l'après-Finul, selon Asharq Al-Awsat.

Aoun préfère toujours une prolongation mais reste ouvert à des alternatives maintenant une présence internationale. Salam souhaite une présence capable de surveiller et de signaler les violations sous un nouveau mandat du Conseil de sécurité, ainsi qu'une armée renforcée. Berri a demandé d'éviter tout vide.
