El ministro libanés de Finanzas, Yassine Jaber, se reunió en Bangkok con la directora gerente del FMI, Kristalina Georgieva, al margen de las reuniones del FMI y el Banco Mundial, según la Agencia de Noticias de Catar.

Reafirmó el compromiso del Líbano con las reformas y la estabilidad macroeconómica y su meta de un programa respaldado por el FMI para la recuperación, la reconstrucción y el crecimiento, y pidió ayuda para movilizar fondos humanitarios, de emergencia y de reconstrucción.

No se informó de ningún acuerdo. El Banco Mundial prevé una contracción del 6,4 % de la economía libanesa en 2026 por la guerra.
