O primeiro-ministro Nawaf Salam pediu ao ministro francês Jean-Noël Barrot que se mantenha uma presença internacional no sul, sob decisão do Conselho de Segurança, com tarefas de monitorização e ligação, segundo o Times of Israel e o Türkiye Today.

O presidente Joseph Aoun pediu ajuda à França para evitar um vazio de segurança, noticiou a Arab News. O mandato da UNIFIL termina a 31 de dezembro de 2026.
