Le ministre des Finances Yassine Jaber a rencontré le 13 octobre la directrice générale du FMI, Kristalina Georgieva, en marge des réunions du FMI et de la Banque mondiale à Bangkok, selon l'agence qatarie QNA.

Il a réaffirmé l'engagement du Liban envers les réformes et la stabilité macroéconomique et espère obtenir un programme soutenu par le FMI. Il a aussi demandé un appui pour mobiliser des fonds humanitaires et de reconstruction, le conflit au Sud ayant déplacé des habitants, endommagé les infrastructures et mis les services publics sous pression.
