Netanyahu says Israeli army will stay in south Lebanon until Hezbollah is disarmed
The Israeli PM says he does not trust the Lebanese government to disarm the group.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel's army will remain in southern Lebanon until Hezbollah is disarmed, and that he does not trust the Lebanese government to do it, L'Orient-Le Jour, L'Orient Today and Ici Beyrouth reported.
Israel occupies a strip up to 10 km deep behind what it calls the "Yellow Line". President Aoun says Israel has not complied with June's framework agreement, which provides for a phased withdrawal as the Lebanese army deploys.
A Lebanese military delegation is due in Tampa on Tuesday to press for a halt to strikes.
