USEK hosts crisis-management bootcamp with Carlos Ghosn, with more than 50 participants
The Maronite university's second edition drew managers from Lebanon, France, Mexico, Chile, Taiwan and Cameroon.
The Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK) held the second edition of its three-day Strategic and Crisis Management Bootcamp with Carlos Ghosn, LBCI reported. More than 50 participants came from Lebanon and countries including France, Egypt, Mexico, Chile, Taiwan, Libya, Portugal, Jordan, Italy and Cameroon, said Dr Madonna Salameh Ayanian of the university's Strategic Corporate Relations Office.
The programme used case studies and group exercises, with a central focus on the revival of Nissan under Ghosn's management. Other sessions covered handling crises, strategic decision-making, artificial intelligence in leadership with expert Pierre Daher, and sustainable management of family businesses with Joanne Sarraf Chehab, CEO of the Malia group.
Participants received a joint certificate from USEK and Ghosn. The university, run by the Lebanese Maronite Order, shows how a church-rooted institution can draw the world's managers to Lebanon and keep talent and ideas flowing between the country and its diaspora.
