Salam respalda el refuerzo de seguridad en Beirut y pide detener a quienes porten armas ilegales

El primer ministro afirma que solo el Estado decide sobre la guerra y la paz.

El primer ministro Nawaf Salam elogió el 18 de octubre el refuerzo de las fuerzas de seguridad en el Gran Beirut durante los dos días anteriores, tras concentraciones nocturnas que generaron preocupación, según LBCI.

Llamó al comandante del Ejército, general Rodolphe Haykal, y al director de las Fuerzas de Seguridad Interna, general Raed Abdullah, y se reunió con el ministro de Justicia, Adel Nassar, y el fiscal general Rami Hajj para ampliar la investigación sobre los explosivos incautados en Dahr el Baydar.

Pidió detener y remitir a la justicia a todos los implicados en la tenencia o el transporte de armas ilegales. Según LBCI, la ley será el único límite y la decisión de guerra y paz corresponde solo al Estado. La información procede por ahora de una sola fuente.
